Our Summer Bucket List 2019

Happy first day of Summer!!

If you know me well you’ll know I love Making Bucket Lists. Liam and I made a Life one back when we were in the early stages of dating and we have been ticking things off slowly but surely. I made a 2019 bucket list at the beginning of the year, I’ve made a Autumn one, a Maternity one. However, now its time for a Summer bucket list!

We have until the 23rd of September to enjoy summer and check as many of these things off our bucket list!

Go to Bocketts Farm

We love Bocketts farm. We visited when Molly was younger and she loved seeing all the animals. Now that Molly is older I can’t wait to take her back and for her to fully explore and have fun!

Go fruit picking

Last spring we took my Nan to go pick some Strawberries and some Cherries. This summer I want to try and go several times to pick many different things. I have a few ideas on recipes I want to try. I also prefer shopping at the farmers market there and picking our own food as its more sustainable.

Do a lot of baking

This summer I really want to do more baking with Molly. She loves helping me with dinner so i’m thinking some full blown hands on lets get messy baking will happen. I’m thinking fairy cakes, brownies, cookies. The lot!

Go on a picnic

Living in Surrey means we are blessed with a  lot of beautiful open green spaces. From parks, fields, woodlands to National Trust Places. There are so many places to explore and have a picnic!.

Explore Kew Gardens

When Molly was about 3-4 months old we went to Kew Gardens and I loved it. I have wanted to go back for a while now and I feel like this summer would be the perfect time to do so.

Visit Wisley

I have never been to Wisley, but apparently its great. They have so many events going on over the summer that I’m hoping we can go to!

Have many beach adventures.

Would a Bucket list for the Summer be complete without a beach trip?! We are an hour train journey to Brighton. I plan to go several times this summer. As well as explore other beaches around the UK. There’s nothing better than going to the beach.

Go Camping

Its been year since I last went camping. I’m an outdoor person. I really want to take Molly camping. Listen to music, cook food on a fire, explore the woodland and just have fun.

Watch a movie outdoors.

We are hoping to go to a outdoor movie theater this summer at Wisley. There are a few of them happening all over the country. Perfect way to spend a summer evening.

Go Bowling

Molly hasn’t been bowling yet and I am so excited to take her. Liam and I love bowling, we last went when we visited my family in Newcastle, I was 6/7 months Pregnant. Think it’s time we went back!

Visit London Zoo

London zoo is our favourite zoo. We have visited several times with Molly. We need to take her back now that she is older and can understand more. It just never gets old!

Run through the Lavender Fields

We live close to these beautiful lavender fields and I have never been. I love lavender, and it would make the perfect spot for some super cute summer photos of Molly!

Go to Longleat

Longleat safari park is on the way to my mum’s in Somerset. We have driven past it so many times, but never been. That needs t change this summer.

Go Find The Gruffalo

At Alice Holt Forest they have a Gruffalo trail where you go on a woodland walk to find different Gruffalo characters. Molly is obsessed with The Gruffalo and this would be the perfect family day out. They also have a new Zog trail that looks super fun!

Visit as many of the Merlin attractions as possible.

Liam and I both have Merlin Annual passes. We have planned a few trips to make the most of them. There are a lot of the same things on this mini list – like the SEA LIFE Centers and Dungeons. But we can always try!
