It’s no secret that we love a bit of homemade playdoh in this house. I have made it countless times and it is always a hit with Molly. This time around I wanted to make things a little festive, yet keep it relatively simple to allow Molly to fully use her imagination. I made white Playoh using my normal recipe, but without adding any sort of food colouring. Instead I added some Eco glitter to give it a slight sparkle.
Molly had a lot of fun with this activity. It’s the first time I have set up Playdoh on the tuff tray. Normally she is in her highchair, but we ditched that a few weeks ago and now do all activities on the tuff spot. I love it because it gives her the freedom to be mobile and move around and explore the set up from different angles.
I showed Molly we could build snowmen, but she is very into baking at the moment. So all she wanted to do was roll it out and use her cooking cutters to make “bickies”. She is a pro at using a rolling pin now, and won’t let me help her in any way, totally independent! You can change up the playdoh to create different themes. You can have green playdoh, and have a pot of bits and bobs to create a Christmas Tree themed set up. Maybe you could keep it white, but add some ginger and cinnamon spices to create gingerbread playdoh!
Play around with it and have fun!
